One Month Down!!

WHAAAAAATTT?? I’ve ben a missionary over a month! That’s so so crazy! 6 more days here at the CTM!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! It was so great here in Brazil. We started the day with PANCAKES for breakfast! Then for lunch they decorated the whole lunch room for Thanksgiving and we had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls, and corn! It was THE YUMMIEST FOOD!! Also, they had ice cream!! Needless to say, I had a very great Thanksgiving here in Brazil!!!

We also had a thanksgiving devotional broadcasted from Provo!! We saw some of our old district, I saw Sister Kennedy singing in the choir and I saw Elder Calhoun! Elder Bednar spoke to us and it was super cool!! In Provo, he passed out cell phones and had the missionary’s text in questions! Here in Brazil we could submit questions by email for him to answer! It was seriously the coolest thing ever! He had a lot of cool stuff to say about agency! I want to tell you all about it but I really don’t have time!!

Oh, some sad news, one of our Elders from Provo decided to go home this week. It was pretty tough on all of us. But we just pray for him every day.

On Friday night we officially could celebrate Christmas! They had this big light show in the garden and we sang Christmas songs and ate ice cream. It was just so much fun! I’ll send like a million pictures next week!!!

Okay, so our pesquisadores are progressing SOOO much!! It’s awesome! Dimas FINALLY has a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith! When we asked him if he prayed and he said he finally did and as he was explaining his experience to us the spirit was SOOOO strong and all three of us were tearing up and it felt so real! Seriously I can’t imagine how much more amazing it’s going to feel when it’s a real investigator! AHHHH I CAN’T WAIT!!!

Sunday we had a recorded devotional by Elder Oaks! It was awesome! Oh, also in sacrament meeting they tell everyone to prepare a talk and they choose like 4 missionaries to give their talks..... And I was chosen this week.... great.... it was okay... but I mean not great, glad that’s over!

Also we had grilled cheese for dinner!!! YUMMY! All the Brazilians were all like, ‘What is this? You guys are crazy!’ Ha-ha it was funny! But very yummy.

ALSO, Sister Pace from Provo! Her companion left for the field Monday so we’re back to the four of us! It’s been so so great! I love them all so much! It’s also so much fun to be teaching just with Sister Belloumini again! We have this flow when we teach and oh man, it’s great! I’m so sad we’ll all be separating soon! Hopefully I’ll be with sister Belloumini in Manaus!

I’m kind of freaking out that I only have 6 days left! The time seriously has flown by I don’t know how it happened! I love the CTM and I love my companion! I love my district and how we just love each other and help each other out! We’re soooo close, we are family! We are already planning our CTM reunion in 2016! Ha-ha! This next week is going to be SO HARD and SO CRAZY! But I CAN DO HARD THINGS! WOOHOO!!

Alma 26:29-30

‘And we have entered into their houses and taught them, and we have taught them in their streets; yea, and we have taught them upon their hills; and we have also entered into their temples and their synagogues and taught them; and we have been cast out, and mocked, and spit upon, and smote upon our cheeks; and we have been stoned, and taken and bound with strong cords, and cast into prison, and through the power and wisdom of God we have been delivered again.
