Happy Monday Gente!

Alright so this week was weird and crazy but ended great! To start off, this week was the last week of the transfer, luckily neither I nor Sister Freitas got transferred. She’s going to be my companion until I end my mission! That’s right! I’m starting my LAST transfer today! Super crazy!
So this week started out with a trip to the hospital. We were walking in the street and my companion slipped and messed up her ankle real bad. It got all purple and swelled up really big! I thought that she had broken her ankle. Our neighbor drove us to the hospital where I got to push Sister Freitas around in a wheelchair. It was fun! Luckily she didn’t break anything, she just needed to spend some time off of it. So we went home and we did splits with a member which was fun! The next day she was able to walk a little better but I had to go to the police station to renew my visa. We sat there with the other missionaries from other countries all day, until they told us to come back the next day. We went back and waited forever again, but we were able to renew.
But the great part of our week was Vagner! He is the cousin of Jezianie who got baptized last week. We started to teach him. We helped him quit smoking, and he received an answer that the church is true and he decided to be baptized! Woo Hooo! It was a very special day! He even bore his testimony in sacrament meeting! When he came up out of the water he said “Ahhh what an awesome feeling!” He is super great! I’m so happy for him! I love seeing the difference in the face of the person before and after baptism! There’s like a new light in their eyes! I love the church of Jesus Christo! It’s true! It’s all true! I don’t believe that I’ve only got 6 more weeks of this!!

Scripture of the week:
Alma 7:15 – Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth beset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments, and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism.
Shout Out to 42 days!!
Love,
Sister Huisken
