TWO WEEKS WHAT??!!!

Hello everyone! Wow didn’t you just love conferencia geral? It was so amazing! We’re so so blessed to be members of the church of Jesus Christ! The only true church on the face of the earth! That has prophets and apostles that receive revelation to help us in these last days! I love the prophet Thomas S. Monson! I know that he is a man chosen of God, and even though he spoke so little to us at the conference, I testify of his words! “Escolhas determina o Destino!” We need to choose Jesus Christ! It’s the best and most important choice that we can make!

Oh man, I’m excited for the new temples announced! I wish that you all could have been there when the prophet announced the Belem, Brazil temple. The whole room gasped and then cheered! Oh, the spirit was so strong! The excitement of these people to have another temple so close filled me with more love for these people! It was a very exciting moment! (For those of you who don’t know, Belem is neighbors with Amazonas, where I’m serving!)

Anyway, I’d like to share with you guys a few of my favorite talks from this conference. I loved all of them but these stood out to me.

The talk by Kenn R. Duncan talking about Perdao! Wow! I learned so many things during this talk that I never knew! We have ‘falta de usao’ we aren’t’ able to judge people because we don’t’ have the ability to see all the details, but God does. Also I liked what he said about the expiacao that it’s not just for us to be forgiven but also to help us forgive.

Another talk I liked was David A. Bednar that talked about batismo, dom do espinto santo, e o sacramento! This talk is basically what we help people here understand so that they can prepare to be baptized.

And of course, Elder Hollands talk was super great! Like I said up above… I’ve only got two weeks left here as a missionary. Here I feel the spirit all the time, I have amazing spiritual experiences every day, I am able to see the Lords hand in every aspect of this work, and in two weeks it’ll change a little bit… or a lot… but this talk was able to help me in preparation for my transition to home-life. He will take my hand, guide me and help me make this transition. I don’t have to be frustrated if I can’t do everything the same or everything perfectly, the most important thing is that I’m trying and the Lord will bless me.

I know that this church is the church of Jesus Christ (I will write in Portuguese because it takes too long to write in English!)

Eu sei que o profeta Joseph Smith restarbu a igreja de Christo exactamente como Christ estabeliu. Eu sei que as chaves do sacerdocio foram restuades, e que os homans digihos da igreja tem o mesmo ponder e autoridade que os apostolos de Christo tem eu sei que temos a mesma orginacao da antigundade, um profeta e 12 apostolos vivos que fala, com deus e not gma e ajuda nestes días! Eu sei com todo meu coracao que o livro de Mormon e verdadero! Eu sai que totas as respostas de todas nossas perfuntas e dunas estao dentro aonelle livro! Eu sei que se nos temos fe arrependemos e somos batizados e recebemos o dom do espirito santo nos vamos elltvar no mainho ao volta a deus e sei que se nos perseveramos ate o final, entrando no temple e fazer convenhos ao senhor e renovamos nossos convirmnos no domingo romando o sacramento, nos podemos vamos ter a vida eterna. Seu que as famihas poderao ser eternas no piano de deus sei que deus e nosso país, que ele nos conhece pessoalmente e que ele nos ama com todo sua coragao podermente e forca en sei que ele mando usen filho jesus cristo para a terra para nos abriro camino a volta de nosso pail celestral eu amo saber estes coisas meu coragao eriche de alegría e paz baendo destes coisas, e e por isso que estou aque em manays predango estes coisas para todas as pessoas eu amo mina missao! En amo ser um servo do senhor, a ser um instrumento has maos de deus!

TRANSLATION:

I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith restored the Christ’s church just as Christ had established it. I know that the priesthood keys were restored and that the church has the same power and authority that the apostles of Christ had. I know we have the same power and authority with a prophet and 12 living apostles who speaks with God today! I know with all my heart that the Book of Mormon is true! All the answers to all our questions are in this book! I know that if we have faith, repent and are baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost we will want to return to God and I know that if we persevere until the end, entering the temple and make covenants and renew our covenants on Sunday by taking the sacrament, we will have eternal life. I know that Families can be together forever in God's plan. I know God personally knows us and he loves us with all his heart might mind and strength. I know he sent his son, Jesus Christ to earth to save us so we can return to Him. I love knowing these things, it fills me with joy and peace, and that is why I'm proclaiming these things to all people! I love my mission! I love being a servant of the Lord, and being an instrument in God’s hands!

D&C 6:33 - Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward.
