Whaaat!!??

I’ve been here in Manaus for a month already!! Time fly’s when you’re sharing the gospel!!

Okay so this week was super-duper awesome!! We met a family a while back and taught them about the Plan of salvation, and this week we met back with them, taught them about the restoration and set baptism dates with them! They were pretty excited about that!! They have a little 3 year old daughter who is just adorable! They’ve been together for 3 years... and the next step for them is to get married so were helping them a lot with that!! We met with the dad later in the week and he shared with us that he read and prayed and that he knows that the Book of Mormon is true! He said how excited he was to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost after baptism! He’s so super stoked about this whole thing! Pretty exciting! It’s so awesome to see Heavenly Father blessing the lives of his children who exercise faith in him! Wow! So so cool!!

Also we received a referral and we went to meet with them, but they weren’t home, so we decided to talk to the security guard, and he loved our message! He was so excited that we gave him a Book of Mormon and he couldn’t wait to read it! He told us he’s really been searching for something like this in his life! So I’m pretty excited to go back and follow up with him!

Also a young man in our ward has a girlfriend that he’s been bringing to church, and last night we went over and taught her about the restoration and set a baptism date for her! She’s so excited and can’t wait to be baptized! Man this week seriously was amazing!!

We’ve also been working with a lot of inactive members, helping them remember their testimonies and the joy that this gospel really can bring into their lives! There is this young woman who it’s been almost a year since she’s been to church and she’s gotten into some crazy stuff, but she met with us and really wants to get better so she’s been coming to church and starting to stop doing things she shouldn’t and its amazing to see how much happier her life truly is! She’s great I love her more than anything!!

Also this cute family who have been members awhile now, but just don’t come to church have come the past 2 weeks! We had a family night with them! And man they’re so great! Probably one of my favorite families here! And they’re remembering how great a blessing this gospel is in their lives!

So yeah this week we really saw the power of the Holy Ghost! I really learned how our Heavenly Father wants to give us the feelings that the Holy Ghost brings, we just have to obey and ask in faith! Our Heavenly Father knows each of us perfectly and knows exactly what we need at any given moment!

Scripture of the week!

TRANSLATION:

3 Nepi 14:9-11

9. Or what man is there of you, who, if his son ask bread, will give him a stone?

10. Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
