Woo hoo! So this week started out with Sister Salgado’s 24th birthday!! Woo hoo! Some members in the ward put together a little surprise party! So fun! I love the members here so much!! We also got to meet all the new people in our zone!! One of my friends from the MTC is my new Zone Leader! Super awesome and we are the only two Americanos! Muito bom! Eu estou muito animada para trabalhar com minha zona!

This week we had interviews with President Castro! Very awesome!! His wife, Sister Castro gave a talk about pride and humility, very awesome! She’s soo funny and just so real I love it when she speaks! We also got to watch `Conhecer as Mormons` or Meet the Mormons! It’s coming to theatres here soon! Pretty exciting!!
Oh so about the baptism that we were going to have yesterday... she broke up with her boyfriend here... and she’s getting baptized in her ward... So bummer for us, but awesome for her for still getting baptized!!!
We taught A TON of lessons this week, and did A TON of walking! I LOVE IT! We have 3 new datas de batismo! One is a son of a recent convert, he’s going through a ton of rough family stuff right now so were helping him through all that, he’s awesome!! Also we are teaching a joven who is super awesome, he’s friends with all the youth in our ward! It’s awesome to have a lesson with all his friends there sharing their testimonies and experiences they’ve had with the gospel, super awesome! The spirit is so strong in those lessons!
We also had an activity Saturday night, (here the missionaries plan the activities), and it was so much fun! We had two teams and it was questions and answers from the Book of Mormon, and seriously it got SUPER competitive, ha-ha so much fun! We’ve got some awesome people in our ward!
Just a little scripture and thought for the week:
So we taught a lot about the plan of salvation this week, and I was thinking a lot about our pre earth life. How we lived with our Heavenly Father and how he presented us with this plan. I can just imagine us being so excited for this opportunity to become like him! And I can imagine us when he told us about The Savior Jesus Christ and what he was going to do for us so that we would have a way to be clean so we can return to live with him. And I can just see us thinking man, that’s awesome! We don’t have to be perfect! All we have to do is our best to keep the commandments and follow Jesus Christ and repent when we make mistakes and bam! We are able to return to live with our father again! I can just see us all having faith in Christ and just all being so excited for this clear and simple way to come back home!
You know we all chose to come to earth, we are all here because we chose this before this life. And so I can’t help but think that we all had faith in Jesus Christ before we came here. We all had faith that because of his atonement we could return!
So here on earth, if we don’t feel like we have faith in Jesus Christ or understand the atonement, we just need to study and look for it and REMEBER because we already had faith before this life, we just now need to remember and then do our best!
I don’t know if that made sense... ha-ha just some of my thoughts this week!!
Scripture of the semana!
2 nefi 31;20
TRANSLATION:
2 Nephi 31:20
Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope and love of God and all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life!
