Another fabulous week here in Manaus!! It rained A TON this week (but what’s new) and was pretty cold, super weird but it was a nice little break from the heat!
This week we worked a lot again with the less active members in our ward... we have on average 70 people in sacrament meeting but 700 people baptized in our ward... so we have a lot of people to visit! Ha-ha! I love working with the less actives and getting them excited about the gospel and going to church again!! Our ward is on the borderline of getting switched to a branch so were working super hard with the members in the ward to get our numbers back up!
This week we had Divisões da dupla! Foi MUITO BOM!! Sister Salgado went to another area and the linda maravilhosa Sister Patrone from Uruguay, came here! Oh man I love her so so much! She only has a few months left na missão so she had a lot of advice for me and I learned SO MUCH from her! She’s seriously the best! We already have planned her visit to California when I get home! Ha-ha she’s great!
We had another ward activity this week that was super fun! Sort of like a Family Feud type of thing with the scriptures! I love ward activities that our investigators can come to and make friends and feel welcomed with the ward! It’s great!!
We taught a lot this week! And have some investigators progressing, super awesome!! We have a new investigator, Anderson, he’s great! He is dating a member and he really loves the church. We taught him the restoration and he was super excited! When we taught about the first vision he thought it was the coolest thing, and went home and read the Book of Mormon for two hours! Like what? He’s prefect! So yeah were preparing him for his baptism too! Very exciting!!
Scripture of the week! We shared this message with a lot of the less actives this week!
TRANSLATION:
Mosiah 2:41; And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
