Helooooo everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous week!!! Everything here is great! Manaus is great! I love it here and I love being a missionary!!!

This week was great! Started out with zone conference, Sister Salgado and I sang a special musical number in English and Portuguese... foi muito bom! The president trained us in how to find people to teach, especially families. So that’s been our goal for our district to encontrar famílias!!

We got to go to the temple quarta-feira. It was SOOOOOOOOO wonderful! I love the temple with all of my entire heart!! It’s so awesome to have a place here on earth where we can feel so close to our Heavenly Father! Seriously we are so blessed to have temples here on the earth!!

It was so great seeing and catching up with all the other missionaries! Sister Belloumini was there and we got to sit next to each other inside the temple and catch up a ton afterwards! Soooo great! We are planning on being companions in the next 15 months! Ha-ha!

So with our new goal of finding families, we found a bunch of families this week! Super exciting! It’s crazy how when we pray for one thing and have faith that our Heavenly Father will help us, that He always helps us!! We taught a bunch of families! It’s so amazing to see how strong and powerful the spirit really is... because I’m over here, speaking my limited Portuguese with a strong American accent, and people can feel the spirit... people understand me, people accept invitations to read the Book of Mormon, to pray, and to be baptized! It’s amazing! Also, we’re planning on bringing these families to the temple to do some family history work and to get a little tour of the temple! We’re very excited for that!!! But seriously if we didn’t have the spirit none of this would be possible! The spirit is the teacher, we’re just here to invite the spirit, then it is up to the investigator to accept the promptings of the spirit and have the desire to accept and change! Seriously I love the spirit! It’s so great!!

Also this week one of the members in our ward, and one of our favorite family’s dad, fell off a ladder at work and almost lost his whole arm.... I won’t get into the details, but it’s really lucky that he survived... he’s been in the hospital all week so we’ve got to go and cheer up their kids this week and do puzzles and help their mom cook and clean! It’s been fun! And things are looking good for their dad so all is good!!

We also got to go to New Beginnings with the young women, there are lots of young women whose parents aren’t members so we went and met them and set up times to have a family night with them! The young women in our ward are so great! It made me miss my young women days and all the wonderful young women in my ward! Shout out to them!!! Love you!!

SO yeah everything is great! Time seriously flies by here!! Looking back its crazy to see how much I’ve already learned and how much I’ve grown!! Missions are A LOT of work!! But when you do the work it becomes enjoyable!! You just gotta work hard and smile and be happy and sing a lot! Ha-ha!

Okay that’s all for today! Love you all!!

Scripture of the week

Alma 31:34-35

Translation

34 O Lord, wilt thou grant unto us that we may have success in bringing them again unto thee in Christ.

35 Behold, O Lord, their souls are precious, and many of them are our brethren; therefore, give unto us, O Lord, power and wisdom that we may bring these, our brethren, again unto thee.
