Woo hoo!! So this week was crazy!! But it ended on a very good note!!

This week almost all of our appointments fell through... like pretty much all of them... ha-ha it was pretty unbelievable!! And almost all the families that we were scheduled to have meals with this week weren’t able to give us meals... seriously the weirdest strangest thing ever! But nevertheless we continued to work! No one was in the street this week so we knocked on a lot of doors and NO ONE let us in! Ha-ha it was almost funny! And then it rained and poured soooo hard on us EVERY day!!! But at that point we didn’t even use our umbrellas and just enjoyed the rain, it was super nice!!!

Its good that Sister Jacinto and I are good at being positive cuz seriously everything that could go wrong went wrong! We had an activity planned to watch a movie and eat popcorn... the movie and the backup movie we had didn’t work with the computer... and then the church didn’t have gas so we couldn’t make the popcorn. But it ended up being fun just having everyone hanging out and talking!

But after this long learning testimony building experience.... We have a firm date for baptism with our friend Paulo!!!! He’s super excited! If everything goings right and his parents allow it, he will be baptized Sunday! And hopefully our other friend as well!! Things started to get better!! We’re super pumped for this week!!! We are sure that things will get better!!!

I know that sometimes Heavenly Father just needs to test our faith a little bit before he allows us do something super important!! I’m so grateful for Sister Jacinto and how we chose to be super positive and have fun despite our circumstances!! I LOVE being a missionary and I would never trade this experience for anything in the world! Serving a mission is something you’ll never regret and never forget!! It’s unlike anything in the entire universe and it’s literally the best thing ever!! If you’re thinking about going on a mission but have some doubts. Forget those doubts. The Lord needs your service and I promise you will have some of the most amazing experiences and feel the most joy you ever have felt in your entire life!!

Scripture of the week! I think I already used it but here it is again!

Èter 12;6

Quisera mostrar ao mundo que fé são coisas que se esperam, mas não se vêm; portanto, Não disputeis porque não vedes, porque não recebeis testemunho senão depois da prova de vossa fé!

TRANSLATION:

… I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
