Woooohooo!!!! Transfers this week!!!!
A lot of things changed!!! I moved from Colina Do Aleixo to Cachoreirinha (translation: little waterfall) My new companeria is Sister Miller from Honduras!!! I will be finishing her training!! I’m so excited!!! Cachoreirinha is in the center of Manaus! It’s the big city!! Very very different than my first two areas! But I’m so excited to get to know this area and share the gospel with everyone!!!
I’m a little sad to be leaving Colina! :( It was an amazing area with amazing members!! I’m going to miss all my investigators there! And I’m just so excited to get pictures of their baptisms! :)
This week we had the chance to go to the temple! Oh man it was exactly what I needed! The temple really is the house of the Lord!! Things are all crazy on the bus getting to the temple, but when you walk through the gates it’s all calm and peaceful! And the things of the world just don’t matter anymore! Your perspective on things is broadened and you just feel so at ease!!

I know that the temple is the house of the Lord! I know that the temple is where we can be the closest to the Lord! I’m so grateful for temples, for the power that there is in the temple. The power to be sealed with our families forever! For all eternity!! We need to go to the temple more!! You need to help your ancestors have the opportunity to accept this gospel!! Missionary work includes the work of the temple!! Go to the temple!! The youth! You need to go to the temple more! When we have a great love for the temple, when we attend the temple more we will have more peace and direction in our lives! We will be much happier!! I love the temple so so much! And am so grateful to have a temple so close here in Manaus!

So yeah don’t have a ton to talk about today! Until next week!!
Scripture of the week!
Mosiah chapters: 13-17
Read all of these chapters! I really love the story of Abinadi! His obedience and faith are really amazing! He had so much faith to preach to the king! And when the king gave him the chance to take back everything he taught or be killed, he didn’t take back his words! And he was killed! A lot of times we have commandments from God that we don’t always understand. Or we have assignments we don’t think matter or will make a difference... but Abinadi didn’t think this way! He was obedient to the Lord! And even though he never saw the affect he would have, the Lord knew.
We read that there was a priest of the king that believed the words of Abinadi! And that was Alma! We know that Alma fled and he began teaching the things Abinadi had taught! And he turned into a great prophet! So even though sometimes we’re doing things, fulfilling our callings and our duties and it seems like it’s not making a difference or helping anyone, it is! Every commandment or assignment we have from God is for a reason, we just need to have faith and be obedient, our Heavenly Father knows what he’s doing!
