Wow what a wonderful week!! This week was FULL of contacting.... because we are in some need of some new investigators!!!
So we prayed and then we went out to find the people who are ready to receive the message of the restored gospel!! We were walking and we felt impressed to talk to this group of people playing cards smoking and drinking... ha-ha we both felt like we should talk to them so we went over to them. We shared a short summary of the restoration and because no one was paying attention to us or seemed interested we asked if we could mark another day to return and talk to them when they were less busy... they surprisingly said yes and gave us a day and time to come back. We returned on the day and time they said and we found only two of them at home, two brothers. We talked to them and turns out that one of them was baptized a while back and was active for a long time! He said he even almost went on a mission, but because of some problems with people in the church he left, but he said he’s interested in returning. And his brother said that he talked to some elders once and was super interested but he said they never returned to talk to him more. So were now teaching them both!! It’s amazing how the Lord knows the hearts of all his children! He knows who’s ready! From appearance that first night I would have never thought that any of them would be interested. But we knew that the Lord knows more than us. We knew that if we followed the spirit it we will be blessed. We followed the spirit and now were helping someone return to the church and another learn more and prepare to become a member!! Super amazing!!
Also Saturday was amazing!! Ara was BAPTIZED!! Wooo hooo!!!!! We’ve been working with her this whole transfer!! And she decided to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized!! Despite everything that was preventing the baptism from happening the meeting was beautiful and the spirit was so strong!! Her sister came too and said at the end of the baptism that the next baptism will be hers!! Ha-ha Wow!! The next day, Sunday, they both came to church and brought their kids who went to primary. It was an amazing weekend!!
So yeah this is the week of transfers but no transfers for us!!! Sister Miller and I are happily staying here in Cachoeirinha!! We’ve got a ton of work to do and are so excited to continue working together!!! Wooohoo!!! This transfer is gonna be a good one!!
Scripture of the week!
II Cor 12:10
Por isso sinto prazer nas fraquezas nas injúrrias, nas necessidades, nas perseguições, nas angústias por amor de Cristo. POR QUE QUANDO ESTOU FRACO ENTÃO SOU FORTE.
Translation:
2 Corinthians 12:10 - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
