So first off sorry ya’ll for emailing a day late!! It was Brazilian Independence Day yesterday!
This week probably was the best week of my mission so far, BY FAR!!!
So, once upon a time a month ago Sister Miller and I decided to knock on a random blue door to share the gospel. A mom and her 2 little girls answered the door saying they were busy but that we could come back the next day. The next day we shared about the restoration and the first vision, with tears in her eyes, Elza accepted to be baptized. We met her husband Jose, and started teaching them everything! I’ve never felt the spirit work so strong through me the way I felt it during those lessons! We marked a wedding date and started preparing for the wedding and baptism. Jose quit smoking and Elza gave up coffee.

A week before the wedding they told us that they had to move far away after the wedding. That week we fasted and prayed more than we ever had in our entire lives, and a miracle happened. They found a house here in our area, and everything would continue as planned.

The wedding was Saturday! It was so perfect, so happy!! We were so happy they were so happy their family was so happy the ward was so happy and I know the Lord was so happy!! The next day, baptism day!! They were both so excited!! During sacrament meeting, Jose got up and bore his testimony about his conversion, how his whole life changed the moment the missionaries knocked on his door! And how excited he was for his baptism!! Wow!! They dressed all in white and one by one were baptized members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!! The room was full of excited members ready to welcome this new family into the ward family!!

This family is so special! I’ve never had a love like I have for this family for anyone else outside of my family! I know Heavenly Father prepared this family for us to find and teach! I know that he is so happy to see them starting on this path back to him! I have seen countless miracles in this experience with Elza and Jose! Heavenly Father really loves his children and will do everything to help them comeback to him!
I know that this gospel blesses families! I know that this church is true! I know that there are people out there prepared and waiting for us to find them!! And I’m so excited to find them!!! I love being an instrument in the hands of the Lord to do his work!!!
Scripture of the week!!
D&C 121:36
36 Que os direitos do sacerdócio são inseparavelmente ligados com os poderes do céu e que os poderes do céu não podem ser controlados nem exercidos a não ser de acordo com os princípios da retidão.
Translation:
Doctrine and Covenants 121:36 - That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor handled only upon the principles of righteousness.
