Hey Y'all!

Another great week!!! We worked hard and it was super-hot but it was all worth it!!

This week eu estudei muito sobre a expiação de Jesus cristo, sobre tudo que ele fiz e tudo que ele sofreu para nos! (John 3:16) Our Heavenly Father really loves us so much, that He sent His Son here to earth to atone for our sins. We are here and make mistakes every single day, we sin every day, but we know that no unclean thing can eneter into the kingdom of God (3 Nephi 27:19) so that’s why Heavenly Father sent His Son to earth! To save us from our sins! To pay the price for us so we don’t have to!!

All we have to do is ter fe em cristo, arrpender, batizamos, e perseveramos até o fim. If we do all this Cristo will plead our cause at judgement day when we will be held responsible for all of our sins and mistakes (D&C 45:3-5) mais temos que fazer nosso parte! Cristo already suffered and already paid the price for us, we just need to repent every day and esforsar-se para guardar os mandamentos and we will be pure and clean and worthy to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

When I was studying all this I thought about all the people who don’t repent, who won’t repent. And when they die they will have to pay for their sins (D&C 19:16-19) and even after suffering for their sins they won’t be able to return to the presence of Heavenly Father. SO there are two choices we have! One is to not repent and one day suffer for all your sins and then end up in a lower kingdom and the other choice is to repent and keep the commandments and one day return and live in the presence of God for ever in uma estado de felicidade sem fim! (Mosias 2:40-41) SO yeah there it is! Decide now where you want to be for eternity! It’s our choice!

Alma 7:13-15

13 Ora, o Espírito sabe todas as coisas; não obstante, o Filho de Deus padece segundo a carne para tomar sobre si os pecados de seu povo, para apagar-lhes as transgressões, de acordo com seu poder de libertação; e eis que agora este é o testemunho que está em mim.

14 Agora, digo que vos deveis arrepender e nascer de novo; porque o Espírito diz que, se não nascerdes de novo, não podereis herdar o reino do céu; vinde, pois, e sede batizados para o arrependimento, a fim de serdes lavados de vossos pecados e terdes fé no Cordeiro de Deus que tira os pecados do mundo, que é poderoso para salvar e purificar de toda injustiça.

15 Sim, digo-vos: Vinde e não temais; e deixai de lado todos os pecados que facilmente vos envolvem, que vos amarram e conduzem à destruição; sim, adiantai-vos e mostrai a vosso Deus que desejais arrepender-vos de vossos pecados e fazer com ele um convênio de guardar seus mandamentos; e testemunhai-lhe isso hoje, entrando nas águas do batismo.

Translation:

Alma 7:13-15

13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.

14 Now I say unto you that ye must repent, and be born again; for the Spirit saith if ye are not born again ye cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye may be washed from your sins, that ye may have faith on the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sins of the world, who is mighty to save and to cleanse from all unrighteousness.

15 Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth beset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments, and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism.
