This week was great!!! I was a little sick at the beginning of the week but I’m all good and healthy now! ;)

This week we still worked hard despite my sickness and it really paid off!! We had 11 investigators at church Sunday!! Super awesome!!! So this week we will be helping all of them prepare to make the decision to be baptized!! And how they will make that decision is easy!! They just need to pray and ask their Heavenly Father!

So let me tell you a story about this 14 year old boy that we are teaching! He came to General Conference with his friend a few weeks back and thought it was very interesting, he came the following week to English class. Before the class he was talking to the Elders and they were talking to him about the Book of Mormon and about everything and he was saying how he thought it was all a bunch of nonsense, and that the Book of Mormon was just all lies and that he will never be part of the church. The Elders said okay, but you’ll never really know if you never pray and ask God what is true and what is not. So after the English class he came up to me and Sister Meono, and asked us how he could ask God to know if all of this was true, so we explained to him and he said ‘Okay that’s what I’m going to do tonight!’

So the next day we pass by his house to see how his prayer went. When he saw us he ran up to us and said that he knows without a doubt that the church is true and that the Book of Mormon is true, that he wants to get baptized and that he wants to serve a mission!! Ha-ha wow!! He then explained how he prayed and all the doubts and bad thoughts that he had about the church went away and he couldn’t think of anything bad, and then he said he felt something he never felt in his life, a peace, a feeling he can’t describe and he said that he knows that that was an answer from God!

Super amazing! The only sad part is that his mom is super anti Mormon and won’t let him meet with us or go to church or be baptized... but he asked us if he could hear the lessons after English class every week! And he said his mom doesn’t let him read the Book of Mormon so he hides it and takes it to school with him and reads it there! And he’s already given a Book of Mormon to one of his friends and they are reading it together now!!! So amazing!! I know that he will one day be baptized and serve a mission and help so many come to know the truth just by praying and asking God if it’s true!!

Scripture of the week

3 nefi 18:20 - E tudo quanto pedirdes ao Pai em meu nome, que seja justo, acreditando que recebereis, eis que vos será dado.

Translation:

3 Nephi 18:20 - And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given unto you
