Wow wow wow wow what a great semana we had this week!! Full of miracles!!!
Sooooo this week was full of conference, trainings and work!!!
I got to attend my first leadership conference this week! It was super cool being with the president so close with such a small group learning how we can all be better missionaries!! It is so clear that he was called of God to be our mission president! It’s so clear how much he cares and loves all of the missionaries here, and so clear how much more he loves the people of Manaus! He has such a big desire to help everyone here have salvation! He taught us a lot of things but one thing that stood out to me was about doing the will of the lord!
If we think about it... we are here to do what Christ did, to teach, help people, do miracles and help people have more faith, repent and be baptized to one day ganhar salvação! So we as representatives of Jesus Christ have to do everything that he did. And if we think about it, all that he did was the will of the lord so we too must do the will of the lord! So we are here on earth to learn and grow and one day become like God, become a God. But to do that we have to have the same goals and same purpose as God! We have to be living and breathing and eating and sleeping thinking about how we can help God bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man!
But seriously the training he gave was sooooo goood!! Seriously amazing!!!
So then on Friday we had a zone conference! Which was super great also!! We learned about how to improve our teaching skills and did a lot of practices! It was a great conference! On the way home our whole zone took the same bus and we sang hymns to everyone the whole ride home... like 1 hour of singing... Ha-ha! But it was really great!!
Then on Saturday we had a ton of people to visit! We went to all of their houses and no one was home!!! And instead of getting sad, we decided to find people who were home and talk to them. So we chose a street that we never went down and knocked on EVERY SINGLE DOOR! It took almost 2 hours! But we did it!! And we marked 11 baptism dates!! It was truly amazing!! The lord truly blessed us for not getting down and sad!!
And Sunday when we got to church another blessing was there waiting for us! A father who was inactive for a long time decided to come back to church and his 2 daughters ages 10 and 8 have never been baptized! So we now have this amazing opportunity to help him and his family be baptized and stay strong in the church and receive the blessings the lord has prepared for them! So that one day they can live together forever!!
This week was truly amazing! I loved it so much! I love my companion so much and am sooo grateful for this opportunity to be working here in Coroado!!
Scripture of the week!!
Efesios 6;6 - Nao servindo á vista, com para agradar aos homens, mas como SERVOS DE CRISTO, fazendo de coração a vontade de Deus!
Translation:
Ephesians 6:6 - Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
