Thanksgiving!

This week was great! We worked hard and taught a lot!

We also were pretty busy preparing Ana Paula and her sister Sabrina for their baptisms!! We went to their house and taught them every day! They were so excited to learn! It was pretty cool because even though their dad is already a member, he’s been inactive for the last 20 years and is just coming back to church now! So when we are teaching the girls we are also teaching him! He’s so interested and you can see how happy he is that his daughters are learning all this at such a young age! They’re a family very special! The dad is soo willing to do anything for the good of his daughters, he’s willing to change and be better! Sunday they were baptized! Ana Paula is scared of water, but it all went well, she was brave and after she was soo happy! There were a ton of members at the baptism and it was just a very happy day!! And next week they will receive the Holy Ghost!!! :)

So something fun that happened this week is we celebrated THANKSGIVING!!! A bishop here in Manaus planned and put together a thanksgiving dinner for all the missionaries in our zone! It was awesome!! We had turkey and mashed potatoes... but also fish and rice! Ha-ha it was so much fun!! Ha-ha and at the end of the night the bishop dressed up like Santa and took pictures with everyone! :) Ha-ha a very memorable night!

Also the 28th was "dia da loucura" where you have to do something crazy! So Sister Santos and I got on the bus and preached on the bus. I stood up in the front while Sister Santos passed out pamphlets of the restoration to everyone and I started giving the first lesson to everyone on the bus!! Ha-ha it was super cool!! Afterwards, we grabbed the addresses of those who wanted to learn more!! Ha-ha it was super fun! And super crazy! For sure we will do it again!! #missionáriasnãotemmedo
