Hey! Happy Christmas to everyone!! That was great to talk to you all on Christmas!! Super crazy to think that I’ll be seeing you guys like in just a few months!

Well this week went by super-fast! With interviews with the president and then another conference and then Christmas.... but we managed to have a lot of success this weeks!!!

Juily was baptized on Saturday!! That was for sure the best Christmas present!! She was sooo happy to be baptized and her family was too!!!

Really, the Lord guides his missionaries and shows them where they need to go and who they need to teach. A few weeks ago we were looking in the livro de area and we found Juily´s name along with a ton of others, we prayed and decided to go visit her out of all the names. The Lord knows who is ready to receive the gospel! If we are doing our part and always have the spirit with us the Lord will always show us where to go what to do and who to talk to!

Another cool story this week; we were walking around on Christmas Eve looking for someone to teach, and we passed a man in the street and he turned to talk to us, he asked us where we were from, he said he was from Haiti! Super cool!! We invited him to church on Sunday and he said “Sure!!” We called him Sunday morning to confirm and he said “Yes I’ll be waiting for you guys!” (This never happens!) We got there and he was all ready! He came to church with us and liked it a lot!! When we were walking out, he asked us when the next baptism would be, because he wanted to be baptized!!!

It’s AMAZING how the spirit works!!! This really is the work of the Lord!! He has this all planned out!! Every area, every companion, every investigator is put in the right place in the right time and if they have an open heart they will know right away that this is the truth! This week just testified to me that it’s all true! The Lord is doing everything, we are just his representatives here because he can’t. But if we let him, we can literally be his hands and his mouth to carry out his wonderful work! :)

Scripture of the week:

Alma 17:9 - E aconteceu que viajaram muitos dias no deserto; e jejuaram e oraram muito para que o Senhor lhes concedesse que uma porção de seu Espírito os acompanhasse e permanecesse com eles, a fim de servirem de instrumento nas mãos de Deus, para, se possível, levarem seus irmãos, os lamanitas, a conhecerem a verdade, a conhecerem a iniquidade das tradições de seus pais, que não eram certas.

Translation:

Alma 17:9 - And it came to pass that they journeyed many days in the wilderness, and they fasted much and prayed much that the Lord would grant unto them a portion of his Spirit to go with them, and abide with them, that they might be an instrument in the hands of God to bring, if it were possible, their brethren, the Lamanites, to the knowledge of the truth, to the knowledge of the baseness of the traditions of their fathers, which were not correct.

- Shout out to the Christmas feast that we at on Christmas Eve!

- Shout out to the family that called Sunday night asking if we wanted some birthday cake and then stopped by and dropped it off at our house! :)

- Shout out to being a missionary!!! EVERYONE should go on a mission!!!

I love being a missionary!! I love you all!! <333
