Itacoatiara!!

So this week was great!! I was out of my area all week but it was super great to get to do splits with the other sisters!!

We got there on Wednesday and worked like crazy all week with them! Every night we got home DEAD!!! But it felt sooooo good!! We gave a training for all the missionaries there and it went super well!! Everyone got pumped up to work and baptize everyone!!!

With the sisters we looked through all the area books and pulled all the old investigators and prayed to know who we needed to visit! Then we went out with this big list and visited all of them until 9pm! It was amazing what happened!!! The spirit was with us and with the power we had we invited them to be baptized! And so many accepted! It was amazing!!! The sisters were able to see that we really have power from God as missionaries!

We are here as representatives of Jesus Christ! And if we want, through our obedience and diligence, we can do EVERYTHING the Christ did! The miracles, teaching how he taught, inviting people to repent and be baptized, we can do all of that with this amazing calling that we have!!! Sunday morning it was raining soooo much!! And so many members didn’t come to church but the people we invited to be baptized the days before were all there! And the sisters saw the power that we all have! It was a really amazing week!!

We got home sooo DEAD!!! But we were happy knowing that we were able to help them!!!

Eter 3:9-15

9) E o Senhor disse-lhe: Em virtude de tua fé, viste que tomarei sobre mim carne e sangue; e nunca ninguém se chegou a mim com uma fé tão grande como tu; porque se assim não fora, não poderias ter visto o meu dedo. Viste mais que isso?

10) E ele respondeu: Não. Senhor, mostra-te a mim.

11) E o Senhor disse-lhe: Crês nas palavras que eu direi?

12) E ele respondeu: Sim, Senhor, eu sei que falas a verdade, porque és um Deus de verdade e não podes mentir.

13) E quando disse estas palavras, eis que o Senhor semostrou a ele e disse: Por saberes estas coisas, ficas redimido da queda; portanto, és conduzido de volta a minha presença; portanto, mostro-me a ti.

14) Eis que eu sou aquele que foi preparado desde a fundação do mundo para redimir meu povo. Eis que eu sou Jesus Cristo. Eu sou o Pai e o Filho. Em mim toda a humanidade terá vida e tê-la-á eternamente, sim, aqueles que crerem em meu nome; e eles tornar-se-ão meus filhos e minhas filhas.

15) E nunca me mostrei ao homem que criei, porque nunca o homem creu em mim como tu creste. Vês que foste criado segundo a minha própria imagem? Sim, todos os homens foram criados, no princípio, à minha própria imagem.

Translation:

Ether 3:9-15

9 And the Lord said unto him: Because of thy faith thou hast seen that I shall take upon me flesh and blood; and never has man come before me with such exceeding faith as thou hast; for were it not so ye could not have seen my finger. Sawest thou more than this?

10 And he answered: Nay; Lord, show thyself unto me.

11 And the Lord said unto him: Believest thou the words which I shall speak?

12 And he answered: Yea, Lord, I know that thou speakest the truth, for thou art a God of truth, and canst not lie.

13 And when he had said these words, behold, the Lord showed himself unto him, and said: Because thou knowest these things ye are redeemed from the fall; therefore ye are brought back into my presence; therefore I show myself unto you.

14 Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. In me shall all mankind have life, and that eternally, even they who shall believe on my name; and they shall become my sons and my daughters.

15 And never have I showed myself unto man whom I have created, for never has man believed in me as thou hast. Seest thou that ye are created after mine own image? Yea, even all men were created in the beginning after mine own image.

Oh how I wish to have the faith that the brother of Jared had!!

Shout out to getting lost coming home!! We got on the bus for 5 hours to Manaus... but then got on the wrong bus to get to our house.... and then went to the wrong terminal... and then got on the wrong bus again... and then we had to wait almost an hour for the right bus... and then when we got home they had changed the locks to the first door to get to our door... so we had to ask the neighbor for a ladder to climb up to get to our house! And we finally were home at 10:30! Hahaha!
